Ma¡d Al Iraq Bitumen and Bar- rels Manufacturing Plant is located in Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Northern Iraq. Majd Al Iraq produces 1500 metric tons of bitumen per day and we supply bitumen products to the Iraqi domestic market, includ- ing the Kurdistan Region. We are willing to receive orders from potential domestic buyers and ensure excellent quality.
Our production capacity of barrels is 240,000 units per month and our domestic supplies to Iraqi buyers come in bulk pack- aging and steel drums. We take pre-orders and ensure supply duly. All our domestic supplies carry the Majd Al Iraq brand.

Majd Al Iraq has big plans for the future. For the second phase of the plant, a storage facility capable of storing 200,000 cubic meters of materials is planned. The construction will be carried out within the standards of the existing plant. Beside the storage facility, it is also planned to significantly increase the production capacity of steel drums and bitumen. Ground work for the expansion phase has already begun.
The bitumen grade of 40/50 means that the penetration value is 40 to 50 in standard test conditions that are typically used as a paving grade.
The penetration grade of bitumen 40/50 is a standard penetration grade, and is usually used as a paving grade bitumen suitable for road construction and production of paving asphalt with superior properties.
This grade of bitumen is mainly used in the manufacture of hot asphalt mixture for bases and plastering yards.
It is mainly used in road construction as a binder agent in hot mix (HMA) and as a key component for the production of bitumen emulsion used as a base layer and coating.
It can also be used as a blending element in polymer modified bitumen/asphalt production (PMB/PMA) and in spray and foil applications.
The most common use of 80/100 bitumen is in road construction, waterproofing, building construction industries and also in the production of reduced bitumen. This type of bitumen is suitable for usage in cold regions.
VG-30 is especially used for the construction of heavy-duty bitumen piers that need to withstand significant traffic loads. It can be used instead of a penetration grade of 60/70.
